Philadelphia Electric Company Point Pleasant Pumping Facility Addendtun to the ' Operational Environmental Noise Assessment of December 1989
==Dear Mr. Ballantine:==
This letter is an addendum to the December 1989 report entitled " Point Pleasant Pumping Facilities Operational Environmental Noise Assessment" On September 5, 1990 United Engineers & Constructors (UE&C) revisited the Point Pleasant pumping facility and took additional noise mecsurements because an additional transformer is now in use and the number of pumps increased from two (2) to three (3) on this property. During our survey, the pumps were rated at full capacity. Weather conditions at time of measurement were calm winds, 50*F, 79% humidity and 30.04 barometric pressure.
The new measurements coincide with the old measurements taken in September 1989. The decibel readings are within 5 decibels of each other, with sampling location L-04 more quiet now than in the first study. By substituting the original numbers with the new numbers, the modified composite noise rating (CNR) still predicts ''No Observed Reaction" as the community response.
Although the pumping station is audible, the dominant background noise source are the in.,ects.

Subject:
Philadelphia Electric Company Point Pleasant Pumping Facility Addendtun to the ' Operational Environmental Noise Assessment of December 1989
Dear Mr. Ballantine:
By substituting the original numbers with the new numbers, the modified composite noise rating (CNR) still predicts No Observed Reaction" as the community response.
Although the pumping station is audible, the dominant background noise source are the in.,ects.
