By letter dated July 15, 2010, Energy Nuclear Operations, Inc., the licensee, submitted the License Amendment Request re: License Amendment Withdrawal and Request - Cyber Security Plan.
By letter dated July 15, 2010, Energy Nuclear Operations, Inc., the licensee, submitted the License Amendment Request re: License Amendment Withdrawal and Request - Cyber Security Plan.
The purpose of this communication is to acknowledge your withdrawal of the original application dated November 23, 2009. The NRC staff will stop the efforts on the application dated November 23, 2009, and close the TAC No. ME2802. Notice of Consideration of Issuance of the Amendment to Renewed Facility Operating License, Proposed No Significant Hazards Consideration Determination and Opportunity for a Hearing, in response to the original request dated November 23, 2009, had not been published in the Federal Register. This communication also provides the results of the NRC staff's acceptance review of this request. The acceptance review of this request, dated July 15, 2010, was performed by the staff of NRC, Nuclear Security and Incident Response (NSIR), Division of Security Policy (DSP), Integrated Security Coordination and Policy Branch (ISCPB), to determine if there is sufficient technical information in scope and depth to allow the NRC staff to complete its detailed technical review. The acceptance review is also intended to identify whether the application has any readily apparent information insufficiencies in its characterization of the regulatory requirements or the licensing basis of the plant.
