By letter dated April 26, 2010 (Agencywide Documents Access and Management System (ADAMS) Accession No. ML 101250044), you applied for amendments to the McGuire Nuclear Station, Units 1 and 2, Renewed Facility Operating Licenses NPF-9 and NPF-17. The proposed change would have modified the facility technical specifications by modifying the 24-hour emergency diesel generator (EDG) endurance test whereby the two hours at 105-110 percent of continuous duty rating test (two-hour margin test) would no longer be required to be performed on a routine (18-month) basis as long as the maximum EDG loading remains at or below the machine's continuous duty rating of 4000 kilowatt.
