TEXAS UTILITIES ELECTRIC COMPANY COMANCHE PEAK STEAM ELECTRIC STATION, UNIT 1 DOCKET N0. 50-445 REQUEST TO AMEND CONSTRUCTION PERMIT' NO. CPPR-126

Dear Sirs:

1 By letter to the Director, Office of Nuclear Reactor Regulation, from Mr. R. J. Gary, dated February 17, 1984, Texas Utilities Generating Company requested a partial exemption from the requirements of 10 CFR Part 50, Appendix A (GDC 4). Texas Utilities hereby requests that the captioned Construction Permit be amended to reflect the partial exemption upon its issuance.

Paragraph 3 of the Construction Permit states, in part, as follows:

This permit shall be deemed to contain and be subject to the conditions specified in Section 50.54 and 50.55 of said regulations; is subject to all applicable provisions of the Act, and rules, regulations, and orders of the Conunission now or hereafter in effect; . . .

We request that Paragraph 3 be amended by inserting ", as modified by duly authorized exemptions" after the words "in ef fect" and before the semicolon.

We also request that Paragraph 3.C. of the Construction Permit be revised by inserting the parenthetical phrase and the word "in" after the word "and", as follows:

. . . construct the facility described in the application (as modified by duly authorized exemptions) and in the hearing record, in accordance . . . gc/[lN 8408270075 840820
