Supplemental Information Regarding Proposed Amendment to the Unit 1 and Unit 2 Technical Specifications 3/4.4.4 and 3/4.4.9.3 Pursuant to 10CFR50.90, Houston Lighting & Power Company (HL&P) has proposed to amend its Operating Licenses NPF-76 and.

NPF-80 by incorporating the referenced proposed change to the Technical Specifications (TAC Nos. M84583 and M84584) for the South Texas Project Electric Generating Station (STPEGS) Units 1 and 2.

This letter is in response to the telephone request of Ms. Donna Skay, USNRC, to notify the NRC of-HL&P's intentions with regard to the subject Proposed Technical Specification Amendment. Via this transmittal, HL&P is changing the proposed amendment submitted by the referenced letter by removing the additional phrase "during modes 3, 4, and 5" from Technical Specification 4.4.4.1.b. Technical Specification 4.4.4.1.b shall remain as it is currently in effect. HL&P will control Pressurizer PORV testing administratively. A specified temperature range will be included in the procedures such that the intent of Generic Letter 90-06 is met.
