SHUTDOWN TO REPAIR VACUUM BREAKER ISOLATION VALVE The licensee began a normal plant shutdown on 9/2/86 to repair a malfunctioning torus-to-reactor building vacuum breaker isolation valve. All control rods were fully inserted as of 9:19 (EDT) en 9/3/86 and the unit is being taken to a cold shutdown condition. The repair effort is expected to take more than 48 hours5.555556e-4 days <br />0.0133 hours <br />7.936508e-5 weeks <br />1.8264e-5 months <br />.
While in cold shutdown, the licensee will conduct other maintenance activities, including checking wiring on a number of motor operated valves.
