Dear Mr. Siurano-Pérez,
NRC identified that additional information related to the license renewal application submitted by NIST was needed to complete the technical review. On February 9, 2024, the NRC staff provided the NIST a formal request for additional information (RAI) (ML23320A135, ML23320A133 & ML23320A136).
The purpose of this submittal is to provide timely response to the RAI. In addition to the revised License Amendment Application (LRA); enclosed documents include direct responses to NRC RAIs (public and non-public), revised LRA Enclosure 4 and Enclosure 6. Anew Enclosure 7 has been added to address NRCs RAI # FP-1: Fire safety features of the facility design. The enclosures 4 & 6 contain OUO-SRI and are being submitted as non-public. Enclosure 7 is being submitted as non-public as it contains diagrams and layouts of the interior of building 245.
The following documents will not be resubmitted as they were not revised because of the RAI; they are LRA Enclosures 1,2,3, and 5 (ML23220A400, ML23220A401, ML23221A163, and ML23220A404).
