Au, Task Leader Division of Regulatory Application Offic of Nuclear Regylatpfy Research FROM: en a-Information and Records Management Branch Office of Information Resources Management buBJECT: APPROVAL OF RULEMAKING PLAN: MISCELLANEOUS CHANGES TO 10 CFR PART 72 AND AMENDMENT TO 10 CFR 40 TO REMOVE NATURAL OR DEPLETED URANIUM USED IN STORAGE CASK SHIELDING FROM PART 40 LICENSINC REQUIREMENTS The Office of Information Resources Management (IRM) concurs in the subject rulemaking plan.

However, it appears that the proposed rules contain information collection requirements. Accordingly, 1

l modify the " Coordination" statement in the Commission Paper to include the Office of Chief Information Officer concurrence as follows: "The Office of Chief information Officer has reviewed the rulemaking plan for information technology and information management implications and concurs in it. However, the plan suggests possible information collection requirements that must be submitted to the Office of Management and Budget prior to publication of the proposed rule." In addition, under " Supporting Documents," please indicate that an OMB clearance package will be prepared for this rulemaking. In your schedule, please indicate that the OMB clearance package will be submitted to OMB at the same time the proposed rule will be published in the Federal Reaister.
