- 3. Using the ramp generator, ramp a simulated signal from 2.000 to 1.000 VDC at the rate of 1/2 V/ min. Record on Data Sheet 5 the As Found trip voltage for the flow comparator using the DVM connected at FC-RH605A Input 1 test points.
- 4. Readjust the ramp generator to ramp from 1.000 to 2.000 VDC at 1/2 V/ min. Record on Data Sheet 5 the As Found Reset voltage for the flow comparator using the DVM connected at FC-RH605A Input 1 test points.
- 5. If the As Found values are satisfactory, complete the Final column of Data Sheet 5 and proceed to the next step. If the As Found yalues are unsatisfactory, calibrate the flow comparator as follows.
- a. Adjust the ramp generator for an input of 1.391 Vdc (1250 gpm.)
- b. Adjust comparator FC-RH605A SETPOINT vernier dial (CW to increase the trip point, CCW to decrease the trip point) until the required trip is obtained, as indicated by the output fuse indicating light de-energizing.
NOTE: INITIAL ADJUSTMENT OF THE SETPOINT DIAL SHOULD BE IN THE CCW DIRECTION UNTIL THE OUTPUT FUSE INDICATING LIGHT ENERGIZES, THEN IN THE CW DIRECTION UNTIL THE LIGHT JUST DE-ENERGIZES.
- c. Adjust the ramp generator for an input of 1.456 Vdc (1350 gpm),
- d. Adjust the comparator DEADBAND potentiometer (CW to increase the reset point, CCW to decrease the reset point) until the required reset point is obtained, as indicated by the output fuse indicating light energizing.
NOTE: THE COMPARATOR SETPOINT AND DEADBAND TEND TO INTERACT.
IT MAY BE NECESSARY TO REPEAT STEPS V.I.5.a THROUGH d SEVERAL TIMES TO OBTAIN SATISFACTORY RESULTS.
- c. Repeat Steps V.I.3 and 4, completing the Final column of Data Sheet 5.
- f. If the data is still unsatisfactory, refer to the Manufacturer's Instruction Bulletin, for corrective action. After corrective action has been I
completed, repeat Steps V.I.3 and 4, completing the
( Final column of Data Sheet 5.
