2. Adjust- the analog input simulator for a 5.000 VDC input at Protection Rack No. 15,- TP-476, then ' adjust the module GAIN TRIM adjust (R56), through the underside of the module for a 5.000 1 0.020 VDC output at Control.

Rack No. 24, TP-476-2.

3. Repeat Step B for. the -signal isolator. If the data obtained is satisfactory, complete the Final column of Data Sheet 3, then remove the jumper accessory cable and reinstall LM-FW476A.

D. Calibration of Indicator LI-FW476.

1. Adjust the analog input simulator for a 3.000 VDC input, then adjust the indicator ZERO adjustment until the '

indicator indicates fifty (50) percent of its span.

NOTE: THE ZERO MAY BE OFFSET WITHIN THE REQUIRED VALUES TO MINIMIZE THE OVERALL ERROR.

2. Repeat Step B.
a. If the data obtained is satisfactory, complete the l Final column of Data Sheet 4.

b. If the data obtained is unsatisfactory, refer to Manufacturer's Instruction Bulletin, Reference 9 for corrective action.
c. After corrective action has been completed, repeat Step B, completing the Final column of Data Sheet 4.

E. Check of Signal Comparators LC-FW476, and LC-FW476A .

1. Connect two (2) inputs of the ramp generator (Comparator Logic Module) to the bistable fuse indicating lights of I Comparators LC-FW476 and LC-FW476A. l
2. Adjust the analog input simulator to ramp a signal from 1.000 to 5.000 VDC at a rate of 1/2 V/ min. When ramping stops, record on Data Sheet 7, the As Found Reset voltage for LC-FW476A, as indicated at Protection Rack No. 15, TP-476.
3. Reset the comparator logic module and allow the analog input simulator to continue ramping. When ramping stops, record on Data Sheets .1 and 6 the As Found Reset voltage for LC-FW476B, as indicated at Protection Rack No. 15, TP-476.

1

4. Readjust the analog input simulator to ramp from 5.000 i to 1.000 VDC at a rate of 1/2 V/ min. When ramping PAGE 27 0F 41 REVISION 0 q

5. Reset the comparator logic module and allow the a,alog j input simualtor to continue ramping. When ran. ping i stops, record on Data Sheets 1 and 7, the As Found Trip l voltage for LC-FW476, as indicated at Protection. Rack l No. 15, TP-476.
6. Reset the comparator logic module and allow the analog j input simulator to continue ramping. When ramping j stops, record on Data Sheets 6 and 7, the As Found Trip '

voltage for LC-FW474B, as indicated at Protection Rack No. 15, TP-476.

7. If the data obtained is satisfactory complete the Final column of Data Sheets 6 and 7, then proceed to Step G.

If the data is unsatisfactory, calibrate the appropriate comparator by performing Section F.

l F. Calibration of Signal Comparators LC-FW476, and LC-FW476A.

NOTE: ADJUST SETPOINT DIAL CW TO INCREASE THE TRIP POINT, CCW TO DECREASE THE TRIP POINT.

1 1

NOTE: THE COMPARATOR SETPOINT AND DEADBAND TEND TO INTERACT.

IT MAY BE NECESSARY TO REPEAT STEP F.1 AND 2 SEVERAL TIMES TO OBTAIN SATISFACTORY RESULTS.

1. Adjust the analog input simulator for an input equal to the required trip point voltage value on the appropriate data sheet as indicated at Protection Rack No. 15, TP-476. Adjust the comparator SETPOINT dial until the required trip point is obtained, as indicated by the output fuse indicating light.

NOTE: IN ORDER TO ADJUST THE DEADBAND THE MODULE MUST BE IN THE TRIPPED CONDITION. THEREFORE, IT MAY BE NECESSARY' TO ADJUST THE INPUT TO MAINTAIN A TRIPPED CONDITION l UNTIL THE PROPER RESET IS OBTAINED.

j NOTE: ADJUST THE DEADBAND POTENTI0FETER CW TO INCREASE THE l RESET POINT, CCW TO DECREASE THE RESET POINT.

1

2. Adjust the analog input simulator for an input equal to the required reset point voltage, as indicated at Protection Rack No. 15, TP-476. Adjust the comparator DEADBAND potentiometer until the required reset point is PAGE 28 0F 41 REVISION 0
