Dear Mr. McKinley:

l I have reviewed the Grand Gulf Units 1 and-2 PSAR and have only-one-I comment. Core heat transfer coefficients-during a LOCA are a corner-stone of. safety; evaluation.

I am particularly concerned about experimental confirention of ' coefficients quoted in places such as Figure 6.3-21, Volume '4.

'Ihe list of references on Page 6.6-1 reveals no independent experimental work in which level swell occurred on a IDCA time frame and resulting heat transfer -

coefficients supply proof that those given in the PSAR are conservative.
