CATEGORY B REPORTS - SRUNSWICK - ML REQtEST FOR ADD'L IMPORMATIOM; CF&L REPORT CONTAINING ADD'L IMO ON PRES 8URE SUFFRESSION CONCEPT; l

ML LETTER IDENTIFYING ENVIRONMENTAL INFO WHICH SHOULD BE SUBMITTED WHEN FSAR IS FILED The listed reports and my samemary of the sentents are attached for your review.

DEL is continuing its review of tha proposed reduction in containment design pressure from 62 psig to 53 poig. In Attachment #2, CF&L ob-I serves that there is considerable margin between the suposted pressure l

and the pressure which the vessel can stand at the time of peak pressure.

No ACKS action is recommended until DEL has finished its review.

Attachment #2 should be retained La your permanent set *of Brunswick documents.

justification for this canelesian was the tag of liner temperature es sempered to the eesta h e posseure.

This las is of the order of minutes. At the tima of peak dryme11 preneure, the liner temperature is about 1158F.

As shoue in Figure 27 of the report, this louer-thes-design

It is recommended that the ACRs emotimes to follow slesely t.he developeones unsarding the Brunswick esatainment design presette.

A BEL remunst of dgly 6.1970, was for the uomal type of envireemental information. The letter asks that the re-guired informaties be filed as as amendment er as part of the FSAR.
