Meeting with Regulatory Staff (Executive Session) i A.
Evaluation of Category B Reports 1.' 'gund Cities l' Vibration and Noise J. B. Henderson, Regulatory Operations, stated that at 95% full
(
power, noise was heard in the torus room, vibration was observed in the low pressure coolant injection line, noise was heard from
{
the drywell in that area, and the recirculation loop discharge i
line was vibrating.
When reactor power was reduced, the noise and vibrations stopped.
The next day, again at 95% power, the noise and vibrations recurred.
The reactor was shut down, and a vibrometer was installed, but the phenomenon did not repeat.
It has been decided to leave the vibrometer on and continue operating with vibration monitoring.
