a request for approval of Amend!aant_De.t_) to the app 1 for constructica and operaties of Quad Cities 1 and 2. M amendment would allow the emissies of the swppreestos h.

baf fles in Quad gities 1 and their removal, at sees sueuse date, from the Quad Cities 1 suppression shader. The baffles were originally included to prevent a abert-ters 6 pois ever-pressure, observed is the 1/4-scale Mess Leading tests.

Suppression chamber design pressure has, bewever, stase been increas=4 from 35 psig to 62 pois to allow testing the entire primary containment at a stagle overpressure.

(The desiga pressure of the suppressies chambers for Dresden 2 and 3 has similarly been increased to 62 psig.)

Au argument is also presented Ladicating that the short-term overpresrare in a full-scale chamber would not exceed the peak transient pressure.
