Fil.TERS AT SEARR00K On November 13, 1986, the NRC staff met with representatives of Public Service Company of New Hampshire to discuss a submittal dated October 9, 1986, regarding a fire hazards analysis of Seabrook charcoal filters. Those atterdino the meetino are identified in the enclosure. Highliqhts of the meetino are summarized below.

The NRC staff stated that the conclusions of the report seemed to be sound and that we had no technical follow-on cuestions at this point. The NRC staff did, however, feel the need for some specialized trainino for the fire brigade in fighting a charcoal fire in filter banks. Also, the NRC staff will revisit each prior deviation approval because these reviews may not have considered the presence of these charcoal filters.

PSNH will respond with a letter describing specialized fire brigade trainina in about one week. The NRC staff plans to finish its technical review by Ncvember 30, 1986, and publish its findings shortly thereafter.
