J. P. Knight, A/D CSE, DE Agreement of the parties has been reached with regard to a staff briefing for Copnissioner Gilinsky covering the analyses and modifications employed to restore the seismic response of the annulus steel structure at Diablo Canyon Unit. l. Rick Parrish of OGC has informed me that the agreement requires that we provide a short summary of the briefing and subsequent discussions for the record and that we be prepared to repeat the essence of the briefing at the October 28 meeting if requested to do so.
The briefing is now scheduled for Friday, October 14 at 10:00 a.m.
The briefing-will be informal and will largely consist of the staff and perhaps an individual from BNL providing a verbal description of the process using a small number of pre-prepared sketches.
At the present time I anticipate that the briefing will be given by myself, P. T. Kuo and H. Polk of the staff and either Dr. Philippacopoulos or Professor
