(%N FROM: William G. Mcdonald Deputy Executive Director for Operations /IRM
SUBJECT:
10 CFR 73.57, REQUIREMENTS FOR CRIMINAL HISTORY CHECKS OF INDIVIDUALS WITH UNESCORTED ACCESS TO NUCLEAR POWER PLANTS This memorandum is a follow-up to the telephone concurrence given to Kris Jamgochian on January 22, 1987 regarding your subject memorandum dated January 20, 1987.
We have reviewed the the draft final rule package for the centrol and use of criminal history data received by pcwer reactor licensees from the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and have no problems with the package from the Information Resources Management (IRM) point of view. The staff of IRM has very actively participated in this project since its inception and has developed the tracking system as well as having staff members involved with the selection of the data entry contractor.
