Dear Mr. Crane:
This is to acknowledge your letter of April 6,1982 addressed to Dr. Paul G. Shewmon, Chainnan, Advisory Committee on Reactor Safeguards.
The ACRS Subcommittee on Diablo Canyon has been and is being kept in-formed regarding the audit and reevaluation of the seismic design of the Diablo Canyon plant. At an appropriate time it will meet to con-sider the significance of the deficiencies found and the related cor-rective actions. The Subcommittee will report its findings to the ACRS including a recommendation regarding proposed ACRS action. You will be kept informed through the NRC Staff of any ACRS subcommittee or full committee meetings at which Diablo Canyon will be considered.
Attached for your information is a copy of the letter dated April 7,1982 to Mr. David Fleischaker responding to his request that the ACRS reopen its aview of the Diablo Canyon seismic design.
