NMSS 1986 FIRST QUARTER PROGRAM REVIEW The NMSS Program Review meeting is scheduled for Monday, March 31, 1986 at 2:00 p.m. in room 6507 MNB.

In additional to any issues you identify for this review, please be prepared to discuss any issues, problems or potential problems associated with:

1.

What progress is being made with EPA on developing alternative concentration limits methodology?

2.

Any problems anticipated from EPA proposed standard on radon emissions from licensed uranium mills?

Discuss mid/long-tenn aspects of the mixed waste issue.

4.

Are there any issues / problems in relation to NASA-related reviews?

5.

Discuss problems related to surety bonding of uranium mills.

6.

Discuss problems related to financial assurance for cleanup after a fuel cycle facility accident.

7.

Any issues / problems in completing assessment of design basis threat?

8.

Discuss vital area program issues / problems. What are the backfit implications for the RER program if the vital area Committee report is adopted?

Do transportation issues pose a problem to movement of HEU from non-power reactors? Can fuel be moved now?
