On January 19th the Nuclear Regulatory Comission has scheduled tull-newer Hearings for the Diablo Canyen Nuclear Power Plant.
In light of the hard evidence of defective seismic construction of the plant, the use of outdated seismic criteria in the building that houses the reactor control rooms, and evacuation plans for San Luis Obispo and Santa Barbara Counties which are incomplete and do not in any way address the possibility of an earthquake and a Diablo radiation leak occuring simultaneously,.it is difficult to believe that a Comission with its cheif responsibility.
