MILESTONE SCHEDULE - REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL (RFP)
NO. RS-NMS-81-030 The attached milestone schedules have been jointly developed by the panel members for the subject REP entitled " Analysis of Safeguards Needs for Transport of High Level Waste." The original milestone schedule contains an RFP issue date of November 26, 1980 and closing date of December 30, 1980. An one week delay occurred during the printing of the RFP due to illness of the employees of the print shop. Therefore, in order to allow time for preparation of an amendment to the solicitation and adequate time for offerors to prepare their proposals, the closing date was extended to January 15, 1980.
The Executive Director for Operations has stressed the need for adherance to the milestone schedules and requested all NRC Office Directors to devote the attention necessary to identify and correct potential bottlenecks as they develop. (Reference Deputy ED0 memo date'd October 14, 1980) copy attached. Unfortunately, delays such as the above occur throughout the procurement process. Any significant delays must now be referred through the Director of Administration to the ED0 for resolution.
