I have included a copy of SECY 82-53 which notifies the Connission of information relating to the possible relocation of design controlling The information earthquakes in the Eastern U.S. for your attention.

concerns the USGS position on the zone in which the Charleston earth-9-11, 1982 quake could reoccur and the implication of the January New Brunswick earthquakes. Dr. Okrent will discuss this in his Sub-committee Report on the activities of the Extreme External Phenomena Subcommittee on Friday afternoon.
