McGuire Nuclear Station Docket Nos. 50-369 and 50-370 Proposed License Amendments

Dear Mr. Denton:

Attached are proposed license amendments to Facility Operating Licenses NPF-9 and NPF-17 for McGuire Nuclear Station Units 1 and 2 respectively. The proposed license amendments seek to incorporate into the McGuire 2 license authority to receive, possess and store irradiated Oconee fuel assemblies under the same conditions as is presently authorized by the McGuire 1 license NPF-9.

Such Oconee irradiated fuel would be received directly from Oconee Nuclear Station.

These proposed license amendments supercede those provided in my submittal of April 3, 1985. The technical justification and no significant hazards consideration previously provided remain valid.

As this letter supplements a proposed license amendment previously submitted no additional license application fee is provided.
