OYSTEP, CREEK NUCLEAR CENERATING STATION ENVIRONMENTAL TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS In a letter dated July 25, 1973, we responded to your letter dated July 10, 1973, which requested that Jersey Central Power &
Light Company subt. tit proposed Environmental Technical Specifications for the Oyster Creek Station by Sentember 3,1973. Our response at that time was that we expected to be abic to meet the requested suhtaittal date.
This is to inform you that we have-subsequently ascertained that ue will not be in a position to submit the requested Technical Specific 81 ions by September 3,1973. Our initial efforts at compiling the required information hcve demonctrated that a number of firm commitments must be made before a vinble set of Technical Specifications j
cca be r,ubmitted. W require additional time to formulate our position with regard to these commitments.
In addition, the exn t nature of Technical Specifications requires thtd one proceed with great care in order to formulate them cori ectly. Tais requires a grent deal of tine both in prcporation ar.d review.
It must also be understood that we are presently engnacd in a 1crge scale ef fort to respond to questions ~
regarding our pull Term Operacing License as wc11 as Commission concerns on the effcetr of Fuel Densification.
