a ENCLOSURE 1 241.9 (4. 2.1. 2. 2)
Provide the deflection design specifications (including dimensions and spring constants) and experimental cbser,
vations for the upper and lower plenum springs. Is there evidence of pemanent deflection due to fuel rod and fuel assembly handling? Would gradual deflection of the lower spring be expected as a function of irradiation and what is the maximum deflection, both expected and possible?
Discuss the QC procedures which assure that the proper type of spring is in the lower plenum.
