Dear Mr. Boyd:
The Babcock 4 Wilcox Company herewith submits sixty copies of B-SAR-205 Amendment 19 for review.
The amendment contains the fo lowing specific items:
1)
Figure 212.239-1 has been revised in accordance with telephone conversations held with the Staff on October 3, 1977.
2)
Figure 8.3-1 has been clari fied to show the power supply to decay heat suction isolation valves DH-VilA and f
DH-V11B.
3)
Figure 9.3-5 has been revised to show the addition of manual isolation valves MV 36A and B.
These valves will allow isolation of decay heat train equipment for maintenance during shutdown when all decay heat suction isolation valves must be kept open to provide overpressure protection.

Section 3.11.6 concerning environmental temperature qualification levels has been clarified in keeping with telephone agreements with the Staff.
5)
Section 10.5.15 concerning secondary system interfaces has been amended to assure that the design will be consistent with SLB accident analysis assumptions.
6)
Sections 6A.S.3 and 6A.5.4 have been revised in accordance with telephone discussions with the Staff.
7)
The time period shown for " minimum time to criticality" in Table 15.1.4-2 for the startup mode has been corrected as agreed to by the Staff during a telephone discussion with the Staff on October 4, 1977.
8)
The required CRA trip insertion time to 2/3 insertion shown in Table 15.1.2-1 has been corrected to 1.7 seconds.
9)
A number of typographical and format errors have also been corrected in this amendment.
With regard to outstanding issue number 9 in Table 1.6 of Reference 1, please be advised that the results of the large break spectrum for the B6W 205 FA standard NSS has been submitted to the Staff separately as an attachment to Reference 2.
