Your letter requested that we commit to implement a valve qualification program on an expedited basis.
As discussed in our letter to you dated September ',1979, we have already contracted with consultants to conduct studies and analyses of poten-tial modifications to the containment purge valves at our Point Beach Nuclear Plant. We shall include consideration of these guidelines for valve qualifi-cation programs in our evaluations of modifications for improved purge valva reliability.
