DOCKET NOS. 50-266 AND 50-301 GUIDELITIES OF CONTAI;iMENT PURGE VALVE OPERABILITY POIt4T BEACH NUCLEAR PLANT UNITS 1 AtlD 2 On October 25, 1979 we received your letter dated September 27, 1979 regarding guidelines for operability of containment purging and venting valves during normal operation. Your letter requested that we commit to implement a valve qualification program on an expedited basis.
As discussed in our letter to you dated September ',1979, we have already contracted with consultants to conduct studies and analyses of poten-tial modifications to the containment purge valves at our Point Beach Nuclear Plant. We shall include consideration of these guidelines for valve qualifi-cation programs in our evaluations of modifications for improved purge valva reliability.
