AND 2, (SSES)
SPENT FUEL POOL COOLING ISSUE (TAC NO. H85337)
Gentlemen:
Per Nr. Prevatte's telephone request of April 4,
- 1995, I
am forwarding a copy of the risk evaluation report performed by Battelle-Pacific Northwest Laboratory (PNL) related to loss of spent fuel pool cooling events at Susquehanna Steam Electric Station (SSES).
The report, dated October 1994, is marked as draft; however, it is the document upon which the staff based the risk assessment portion of its October 24, 1994 draft safety evaluation on spent fuel pool cooling at SSES.
No additional work is currently under contract on this issue and thus, the draft report is the final work expected from PNL for the SSES plant specific review.
If you have any additional comments or questions, please do not hesitate to call me at (301)-504-1428.
