Gentlemen:

As we discussed at our September 6,

1994 meeting, the staff has developed a

generic action plan to evaluate spent fuel storage pool safety issues.

The action plan encompasses issues identified as a result of the problems encountered recently at Dresden 1

as well as issues raised in the report you filed pursuant to 10 CFR Part 21 on November 27, 1992.

I have enclosed a copy of the generic action plan.
