The cover page of the St. Lucie request for alternative (RFA) 9, dated Feb 13, 2013, contains the following sentence:

FPL requests approval prior to the spring 2014 Unit 2 refueling outage, SL2-2 1.

Section 6 of RFA 9 stated that:

The proposed alterative will be implemented for the remainder of the Third Inspection Interval which ends August 7, 2013.

Clarify whether the licensee intends to use the requirement of IWA-2430 to extend the inspection interval by as much as one year (August 7, 2014) . If that is the case, clarify that all applicable requirements of IWA-2430 will be met.
