[External_Sender] FW: Nest on Canal Bank Hi Audra, As a follow-up to my voicemail, two loggerhead nests were found this holiday weekend (Saturday and Monday) during routine monitoring of the intake canal bank. Both nests were successfully relocated to the beach near the discharge canal (where the beach is significantly wider). Details on both nests below:

5/27/23 at 6:32 AM 71 eggs in the clutch 5/29/23 at 7:50 AM 105 eggs in the clutch Its been a very active season and Inwater Research Group continues to remove turtles as quickly as possible. Just for reference, as of Saturday, 160 turtles were removed in the month of May. This included 44 adult loggerheads, 41 adult greens, and one adult leatherback. Roughly 20 loggerheads between 80-85cm (which are not technically adults but are most likely nesting females) have also been removed.

Let me know if you have any follow-up questions.

Nest on Canal Bank Hi Audra, Following up on the voicemail I left. A loggerhead nest was found Sunday morning during routine monitoring on the intake canal bank. The nest was successfully relocated to the beach. Since the nest was discovered, 3 healthy adults have been removed from the canal. There is one adult and one sub-adult currently in the canal that they will be working to capture and remove. Please let me know if you need anything else.

Thanks, Kristin (Peekstok) Eaton Florida Power & Light Company Environmental Services Wildlife 700 Universe Blvd.
