Commercial Grade Dedication Recovery Project," dated April 30, 2013 (ML13123A163)

The purpose of this letter is to inform the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) staff that the TVA Nuclear Power Group Commercial Grade Dedication Recovery Project Plan was approved for implementation on June 21, 2013.

In Enclosure 2 of the referenced letter, TVA provided the NRC with a TVA Nuclear Fleet Commercial Grade Dedication Recovery Project Action Plan Summary that included Commercial Grade Dedication Recovery Project Milestones. In Milestone 2, TVA stated that a detailed Commercial Grade Dedication Project Plan would be issued by June 30, 2013.

The TVA Nuclear Power Group Commercial Grade Dedication Recovery Project Plan describes the evaluation process being used to determine whether an adequate basis exists, and is documented, that provides reasonable assurance that a commercial grade item to be used as a basic component will perform its intended safety function.
