No Restart of San Onofre Esteemed Members of the NRC, The processes involved in producing the fuel for Nuclear Energy are far from clean. There is intensive carbon use, which brings us ever closer to irreversible, out-of-control climate change. Our Earth will not be a fit planet for even the most wealthy among us to live. It is time to move forward to a clean energy future. We must begin now. Tomorrow will be too late. With the knowledge that San Onofre will not restart before its problems and solutions are determined and implemented, Edison and San Onofre's other owners can begin to invest in renewable energy that will provide a lovely planet for all children. Your decision will help save our planet.

Please do not allow San Onofre to restart without a fully adjudicated hearing. Thank you from our family.

Please decommission San Onofre

Hello, As a citizen and mother of 3 children that lives within 26 miles of San Onofre I urge you to please act in the interest of public safety and keep in mind our children and our future generations and tell Southern California Edison NO RESTART of San Onofre. Considering the faulty design, Edisons attempt to put one over on the NRC by saying that the replacement steam generator was "like for like" when it clearly was not, their willful negligence in installing a known faulty reactor, the ridiculously inadequate safety measures involving brooms and plastic bags, it's long history of safety violations, the age of the facility, the location of the plant on top of several earthquake fault lines, the close proximity to highly populated areas and the lessons learned from Fukushima San Onofre should NEVER be allowed to restart, especially at 70% power which violates it's original operating license. Please, please do not allow Edison to restart San Onofre!

Sincerely, Chrystal Coleman Mother Resident of Vista, Ca 26 miles from San Onofre 1

00 NOT RESTART SONGS

Dear Nuclear Regulatory Commission,

As a home owner in Orange County, California my house is well with the the 50 mile danger/evacuation radius of San Onofre Nuclear Generating Station. My wife and I have lived our entire lives in Orange County and have worked very hard to own our own home. We are not alone. There are millions of other people living in that 50 mile radius. Millions. It boggles the mind how, in a matter of minutes all those lives could be destroyed by SONGS.

Since I have lived my entire life in Orange County, I have experienced every major earthquake from the Sylmar earthquake on. I know that many of the major earthquakes were on 'unknown' or 'minor' faults that no one ever suspected of being dangerous. SONGS sits on top of one of those faults. So gambling with the lives of millions of people so that Southern California Edison can make money is absolutely vile. And that's just the earthquake danger. SONGS also sits in a tsunami zone surrounded by hills full of brush. A tsunami or brush fire could also damage SONGS and again, millions of peoples lives would be a risk. All of this does not factor in the evacuation plans of the area, which at this point, are woefully out of date. We do not need another Fukushima, which is still dealing with a melted reactor and residual radiation. .

SONGS has been out of operation since January 2012, almost a year and a half. No one, outside of SCE shareholders SONGS employees, have felt the impact of the shuttered SONGS. So now is the time for the NRC to step up and close, once and for all, this disaster waiting to happen. The NRC should also remove the tons of radioactive waste stored on the site. If the NRC and SCE decide to restart SONGS and an event does occur, hopefully they will be prepared to face millions people angered by their reckless and dangerous actions.

Please remove all personal information before making this document public.

Sincerely, David Krueger 1

sce Dear Allison Southern California Edison (SCE) is facing a tangle of regulatory obstacles that include a NRC review of the San Onofre restart plan and a separate state investigation into who should pay for the trouble - customers or shareholders. There's no question SCE wants to dump the expenses on the ratepayers and taxpayers, and we demand Obama to intervene to make sure that SCE and its shareholders pays for everything, because it has the deep pockets. We demand NRC to sue SCE and its CEO Ted Craver for lying and installing non-compliant parts in the first place. Craver has overseen the loss of over $1 billion of ratepayers money, committed illegal acts, and he wants someone else to pick up the tab. Ifwe lied to the NRC and wasted over a billion dollars of someone else's money, which we had a legal obligation to protect, we'd be in a federal prison for the rest of our lives.

The reactors were shut in January, 2012 but Edison has since billed ratepayers $1 billion for them, even though they've generated no electricity for more than a year. The utility lied and says it needs the reactors' power for the coming southern California summer, even though the region operated just fine last summer without them. We demand US officials to order Edison to stop gouging customers, and disgorge the $1 billion it stole from ratepayers. Obama, we do not want to see another example of government enforced wealth and protection for the rich, poverty for the people.
