8 1 l(b)(7)(C).I I think it was pretty recent, 2 in the last few months. I don't remember the exact 3 date, because it didn't affect me, I was already in 4 that position.

5 [SR. SPEC. AGENT NT(7(C Okay. And, 6 [)C were you aware that[ j had raised 7 a concern or an issue regarding7 (b)(7)(C) 8 1(bb)7)(C 11 [SR. SPEC. AGENT E Okay. He 12 produced a notification, which I'm not sure I have 13 here.

16 Explain what happened during that time 17 frame, and why you were placed in charge, if you 18 recall.

19 ]wanted to --

20 well, he walked by my cubicle and he told me he was 21 going to put my name in, he asked if I wanted to be in 22 charge.

23 I kind of thought he was kidding, because 24 it's the first time he'd asked me, and he said he 25 wanted to rotate that position.

9 1 At first I said no, you know, because I 2 wasn't interested in it. Then I felt bad afterwards, 3 I go, all right, what would I have to do, then I would 4 determine whether I would take it or not.

5 And he said, just -- you don't have to do 6 anything, just if anybody calls in just relay the 7 message to and he'll be here to handle 8 anything, and (b)(7)(c) jis here for any supervisory 9 things.

10 And, I go, okay, I can handle that. It's 11 just phone calls, it's no big deal.

12 ýR. SPEC. AGENT T I Okay.

13 (b)(7)(C) So, then he went around and t(b)(7)(C)s 14 told everybody, and then when he got to that's 15 when he had this outburst of, I will not take I~)(7)(C) 16 direction from a and then he went 17 upstairs and wrote the notification.

18 But, he yelled it out. I man, I sit, 19 basically, this distance from the end of the room, two 20 cubicles away. So, I heard him.

21 [SR. SPEC. AGENT 1 okay. And, 22 when1 first said he was -- or, asked 23 you to be in charge, did he say you take the phone 24 calls, and that's just -- did anybody else advise you 25 what you were supposed to do?

7 . (C For the day-to-day 8 activities.

9 *R. SPEC. AGENT Ib7)(C) I Okay.

10 I didn't look at it as I was 11 filling in as supervisor, or giving direction to 12 anybody else, I was going to be the point of contact.

13 SR. SPEC. AGENT r Okay. All 14 right.

I(b)(7)(C) 15 Do you know,7 the one that 16 asked you to fill in, do you know how his -- what 17 process he used, or how he normally asked people --

18 what their responsibilities are, other than what he 19 told you?

I~,7)(C) 20 I believe if there's anything 21 specific he would put that -- he would tell us when 22 he's asking us to do the position, or in the email he 23 would clarify to everybody what -- who is doing what.

24 In fact, he did send out an email to everybody with 25 that.

11 1 ýR. SPEC. AGENTL2)(I¢ If I could see 2 that, please.

3 And, normally when he puts somebody in the 4 position he put you in, would he sent out an email 5 describing what each person's responsibilities were, 6 like he did in this email? Was this a normal thing he 7 did?

(b)(7)(C) 8 [ I think so. I'm trying to 9 remember when -- he's put jin charge before, and 10 I don't have -- I mean, I don't recall the email. At 11 that time, could approve the r 12 (phonetic), so he could do both. Actually, I wasn't 13 on the signature authorization list to approve 14 (b)(7)(c) lwhereas, (b)(7)IC) l is.

IC) 15 At the time, [ was at the Mesa 16 (phonetic), he relocated over there, so he still had 17 him do that, because that's electronic, but I was in 18 the office, so it just made sense to have somebody 19 there.

20 ýR. SPEC. AGENT (b)(7E(c) Okay. As he 21 stated in his email, he put you in charge of, I guess, 22 day-to-day activities.

3 ýR. SPEC. AGENTE -7 Okay. Do you 4 have any management or any supervisory training?

5 (Not so much training, I have 6 experience with -- I was a back-up lead in the (b(7(C) 7 for many years. I mean, I have pretty much 8 supervised the whole group. I did that for many years.

9 R. SPEC. AGENT j Are you aware 10 of any required training, supervisor training, that's ii required by SONGS or Southern California Edison?

I()(7)(c) 12 Not that I'm aware of.

13 SR. SPEC. AGENT II Okay. Did you

)*(7)(C1 14 express an interest to to be put in 15 charge when he was not present?

I(b)(7)(C) 16 I did not, but he tried to 17 get me to come out of my shell, and so, but, no, I 18 didn't.

19 PR. SPEC. AGENT ( Okay. And, 20 you said earlier that he approached you and said you 21 would just do, basically, take phone calls for him, 22 and would handle any of the supervisory 23 responsibilities.

13 1 what point -- what you were limited to and what 2 was supposed to take over after that point?

()(7)(C) 3 Yes. I wouldn't be doing 4 anything supervisory, as far as approvals that I'm not (b)(7)(C) 5 authorized before. And, like I said, I was 6 there as well, and he said, if you have any problems 7 or any questions I can always ask him, you know, 8 whenever I'm not sure.

rb(7)(C) 9 PR. SPEC. AGENT[ Okay. And, 10 you said that was the first time you've ever been 11 placed in charge?

I(b)(7)(C)I 19 [ Throughout my 20 plus years 20 (b)(7XC) I was constantly being upgraded 21 as the back-up lead, because the lead was either out 22 sick or -- mainly out sick.

23 [SR. SPEC. AGENT (b)(7)(C) And, the time 24 that [ Jasked you to fill in, were there 25 other people that were, by Southern California NEAL R. GROSS COURT REPORTERS AND TRANSCRIBERS 1323 RHODE ISLAND AVE., N.W.

(b)(7)(C) 3 [ That assumes that SC has 4 qualifications?

5 SPEC. AGENT IR. I~Ibb((7)(C) I'm sorry?

1()7)C 6 (b)()(c) That assumes that SC has 7 qualifications. I'd ask you in follow up what you 8 mean.

9 ISR. SPEC. AGENT (b)(7)(C)es. mean, 10 were there people that were a higher grade or had 11 been a supervisor before that were equivalent toI I(b)(7)(C) 12 that could fill in for him, that were 13 present to fill in other than yourself?

(b)(7)(C]

14 1 There was other people 15 present. As far as what my responsibilities were, I 16 don't think they were more qualified. I think they 17 were equally qualified, as far as what I was required 18 to do.

19 *R. SPEC. AGENTE b)(7) C Okay. And, at 20 the time that you were placed in charged, that time we 21 are referring to, do you know if [j7 1requested 22 that he be put in charge at the same time that you 23 were?

7 I think maybe there are two 8 times.

9 ýR. SPEC. AGENTI (b)(7)(C) Okay. For an 10 extended period of time, or just for a couple days, if 12 you recall?

12 I think it might have just 13 been for a couple of days. I don't recall the length.

14 R. SPEC. AGENT Okay. And, 15 training requirements, I mean, I know you said you are 16 not aware of any training requirements, but since 17 you've been in the position now are you aware of any 18 training requirements that you could of or should have 19 had back then?

(b)(7)(C) 20 No.

(b)(7)(C) 2 I'm trying to think. I'm 3 assuming that it had to do with that, his outburst, 4 because I don't know details as far as why, but, I 5 mean, I just came to the assumption that it had to do 6 with that, because it was shortly after that outburst.

7 [SR. SPEC. AGENT Okay. Were 8 you ever interviewed as part of any investigation 9 leading up to his suspension or after his suspension?

(b)(7)(C) 10 [ I'm trying to remember. I 11 know I spoke to someone, but it had to do with the withZb()()

(b)(7)(C) 15 Well, not right away. I just 16 kind of had this feeling like he didn't accept me as 17 one of the guys, and he looked at me as a 18 and I don't have the technical background 19 like they do, some of the do, as far as 20 expertise. But, I obtained that from subject matter 21 experts.

22 I don't know, I could just tell that he 23 treated me different, and just wasn't -- he wouldn't 24 talk to me the same, you know, like the other guys do, 25 friendly. He just wouldn't talk to me.

C-19 1 ýR. SPEC. AGENT (b)(7)(C) And, that was 2 since his suspension, or since --

I(b)(7)(C, 3 [ No, it was since -- they were 4 trying to go to union, and they were trying to S convince me to sign cards, and I pretty much flat out 6 told them I'm not interested, and that I wasn't going 7 to do it.

8 ýR. SPEC. AGENT TI And, how long 9 ago was that?

10 [ j That was shortly after I came 11 into the group, and I probably was -- I probably put 12 a damper on their plans. I think they were already in 13 the works of trying to get to becoming union, and then 14 1 came into the group. So, I think that, right there, 15 caused problems.

I(b)(7)(C)I 16 ())) Was he polite to you when 17 he talked to you?

18 Yes, he's always been polite.

19 There's been one time in a meeting where I brought up 20 something, as far as who was going to be responsible 21 if something was to go wrong. And, i guess I could 22 explain a little better.

23 There was a group that was supporting us 24 with -- trying to get our back log down. And, they 25 were going to -- we were going to be providing the NEAL R. GROSS COURT REPORTERS AND TRANSCRIBERS 1323 RHODE ISLAND AVE., N.W.

C.- 20 1 mark-ups, and then they'd take it over from there.

2 And, my question was, okay, if somebody --

3 if they mess up a file, and it gets rejected by CDM, 4 is it going to be my responsibility, even though they 5 messed it up, or, you know, are they going to be 6 responsible and fix it. Whose responsibility is it 7 going to be? Because I just had to do a low level 8 warning light, because of something that I messed up, 9 and I thought, I don't want to be doing this when 10 somebody else messes up the file. I don't want to be 11 having to do this low level every time, and they make 12 a lot of mistakes. So, I didn't want to -- I just 13 wanted to clarify that for everybody, and I mentioned 14 it in a meeting.

15 He spoke up and said, well, I don't care, 16 I don't -- you know, I don't want to see it. And, I 17 was, basically, saying if I'm going to be responsible 18 I would like to see the final product before it goes 19 to CDM. And, he was just, oh, I don't want to see it.

20 Later on that morning, he apologized for 21 either sounding -- I don't remember his exact words, 22 but he did come up to me and say, hey, I didn't mean 23 to get down on you about that. I understand where you 24 are coming from.

21 1 Did he say it in a nasty 2 manner, or what was it about his statement?

(b)7)(c) 3 [ Well, his tone in the meeting 4 is just his tone. I'm sure you've heard it, if you 5 spoke to him before when he talks.

6 But, later he was normal again. But, it's 7 just very, I don't know how to explain it, it's just 8 a tone that he has.

9 SR. SPEC. AGENT What's your 10 relationship like with him today?

11 ffij He does not speak to me, 12 unless he has to ask me a question, or, you know, if 13 he has to -- you know, if he has to ask me a question.

14 We sit right next to each other. There 15 was a time, too, when I was going to be sitting right 16 next to him, and I didn't really want to. I was 17 supposed to sit in the cubicle two cubicles away, but 18 Facilities and Telecom, it was more convenient for 19 them to just move me in the one next to him, and it's 20 still empty. I really didn't want to, because I knew 21 it was already weird, the relationship. And so, once 22 -- but Facilities was being told that I was going to 23 work there, sit there, and they were trying to set me 24 up, and once he heard he was -- he just kind of made 25 this face like, you know, great, you know.

22 1 I saw him, and it was in front of the 2 other Facilities people, and a couple co-workers, and 3 I just said I can't sit by him like that. And, I went 4 upstairs and talked to and T said, I'll stay 5 where I'm at, I don't want to sit right next to him, 6 you know, and I told him what happened.

7 And, he goes, just call Facilities and 8 tell them that, you know, you get the cubicle two 9 cubicles away, just like we had planned.

10 So, I had to convince Facilities to do 11 that. They weren't happy with me about it, but I said 12 that there's a personality conflict, you know, 13 says I need to sit there.

14 FR. SPEC. AGENT TI(b)(7)(I) Okay.

15 [ So, that happened.

16 SR. SPEC. AGENTb)(;)(C) Did he know 17 you were coming to talk to me today?

23 1 (b)(7)(C) When you were describing I(b)(7)(C) 2 what did when he heard you asked for 3 another cubicle, was that an eye roll that you were 4 trying to describe?

(b)(7)(C) 5 Yes.

(b)(7)(C) 6 That wouldn't be on the 7 record.

8 [ j Oh, yes, it was definite eye 9 roll.

I(b)(7)()c) 10 [bj)()How does he treat the 11 other women in the organization?

12 ffi J If they are in a position 13 where they support him, as far as he brings them work 14 and they do work for him, he's very nice, just like he 15 used to be to me.

16 But, someone in that position where they 17 are, basically, the same position as he is, it's not 18 that he treats them, he just ignores them, basically, 19 or just doesn't go out of his way to talk to them, 20 basically.

I(b)(7)(C)I 21 Does he do the same work 22 you do?
