Changes:

One change was reported in 2002 concerning the SAFER/GESTR model.

1. This notification reported the SAFER computer platform change. The change increases the Licensing Basis Peak Cladding Temperature (PCT) for both the GEl2 and GEl4 fuel by 00 F.

Errors:

Four errors were reported in 2002 concerning the SAFER/GESTR model.

1. This notification reported the SAFER/GESTR error in the core spray elevation. The error increases the Licensing Basis Peak Cladding Temperature (PCT) for both the GE12 and GEl4 fuel by 15'F.
2. This notification reported the impact of SAFER Bulk Water Level Error on the Peak Clad Temperature (PCT). The error increases the Licensing Basis Peak Cladding Temperature (PCT) for both the GEl2 and GEl4 fuel by 0°F.
3. This notification reported the GESTR input file interpolation error. The error increases the Licensing Basis Peak Cladding Temperature (PCT) for the GEl2 fuel by 0°F. This error is not applicable to the GE14 fuel since this error was incorporated in the GEl4 LOCA analysis obtained in 2001.
4. This notification reported the error in WEVOL calculation of downcomer free volume. The error increases the Licensing Basis Peak Cladding Temperature (PCT) for both the GEl2 and GEl4 fuel by 0°F.

Attached is the 2002 Annual Occupational Exposure Summary Report for the Perry Nuclear Power Plant as required by Technical Specification 5.6.1.

The Number of Personnel >100 mrem are determined by the number of individuals with greater than 100 mrem in the corresponding Work and Job Function. Both the Number of Personnel

>100 mrem and the Total Person-mrem are determined using Direct Reading Dosimeters (DRD).

The Radiation Work Permit (RWP) under which the individual worked defines the Work Function. An individual may be counted in more than one category. The Job Function and the Station/Utility/Contract Workers and Others are determined by record of individual signing in on an RWP.

No work activity for 2002 was categorized as Special Maintenance, Refueling, or In-Service Inspection.
