AGENDA

Purpose:

To discuss the NRC staffs August 29, 2002, Request for Additional Information (RAI) regarding PG&Es December 21, 2001, license application for an independent spent fuel storage installation (ISFSI) at the Diablo Canyon Nuclear Power Plant (Diablo Canyon). The RAI is available at the NRC website under the Agency Documents Access and Management System (ADAMS); accession no. ML0224104360.

The NRC staff, with assistance from the Center for Nuclear Waste Regulatory Analyses (CNWRA), has identified additional information necessary to complete its review. This meeting was scheduled to allow PG&E the opportunity to ask questions of the NRC and CNWRA staffs, in order to clarify and better understand the RAIs. The following tentative schedule of discussion topics, which follows the format of the RAI, is subject to change during the meeting, depending on staff availability and the amount of time needed to discuss each area.
