SUMMARY Inspection on November 17-20, 1981 Areas Inspected This routine, ur announced inspection involved 32 inspector-hours on site in the areas of review of electrical quality assurance implementing procedure for class 1E components and system, observation of physical storage of class IE electrical components, conduit installation scheduled for concrete embedment and a portion of the concrete pour for the base mat for the drywell in A-2 containment

Exit Interview The inspection scope and findings were summarized on November 20, 1981 with those persons indicated in paragraph 1 above.

Licensee Action on Previous Inspection Findings (Closed) Unresolved Items 518/81-13-03 and 520/81-13-03, " Storage of Elec-trical Motors Does Not Conform to Licensee's Procedure" The licensee had correspondence from the vendor that the motors as stored were satisfactory.
Th' licensee's site personnel had issued a revision request, to their Quality Engineering Section in Knoxville, Tennessee, to revise the portion of RS and PMI manual to make it compatible with the technical requirements of the stored motors.

Unresolved Items Unresolved items were not identified during this inspection.
5.
Independent Inspection (Units Al and A2)
The inspector toured the site and examined the physical storage of safety-related electrical eqJipment in Unit Al and various warehouses. The items selected were properly protected and motors had heat applied to the windings and bearing lubricant levels were in the proper range. An examination of the preventive maintenance records also showed that the licensee.was per-forming the required maintenanc *

The conduit installation, located in Unit A-2 walls, schedule for concrete embedment by concrete pours A2C, 8C, 9C and 11C were examined. In addition,-
a portion of a concrete pour for the base mat for the drywell in A2 contain-ment building was observed.
Within the areas examined, no violations or deviations were identified.

Review of Quality Assurance Related Procedures The following procedures, which are applicable to electrical activities of the Hartsville Nuclear Plant, were reviewed for conformance with SAR commit-ments. Specific areas reviewed are indicated in paragraph 7.

Electrical (Components and Systems, Cables and Terminations) - Review of Quality Assurance Implementing Procedures The procedures identified in paragraph 6 were reviewed to assure that SAR commitments were written to meet requirements in the areas of storage and handling, periodic verification of special storage requirements, installa-l tion and installation inspection.
Within the areas reviewed, no items of violations or deviations were identified.
