Areas Inspected:
Routine, announced, preoperational inspection of the applicant's physical security program.
The areas inspected within the physical security program included protected area (PA) physical barriers, vital j

area (VA) physical barriers, communications, testing and maintenance, and

security system power supply.
Results: Within the areas inspected, no violations or deviations were identified. The inspector observed that adequate progress was being made in alli areas of the applicant's security implementation program. The applicant's security implementation schedule requires soft lockdown on August 3, 1989, and hard lockdown on-September 2, 1989. The applicant committed to perform material 'and vehicular searches commencing July 31, 1989, to provide an inspection window for NRC prior to the hard lockdown on August 3, 1989.
