Thank you for your response of September 24, 1993, to our Notice of Violation l
issued on August 19, 1993, concerning activities conducted at your McGuire
facility. We have evaluated your response and found that it meets the

requirements of 10 CFR 2.201
,
After reviewing your letter and reevaluating the event, we agree with your conclusion that the event was properly classified. The issue of the lack of l
timeliness of that classification is not sufficiently clear to constitute a
violation due to the other plant conditions being evalLMd by the operators
during the event.
Accorcingly, we will adjust our recon to reflect that no i
violation of regulatory requirements occurred.
,

additicnal review staff to ensure your operators fully recognized they
