This letter concerns your January 8,1982 reply to our November 5,1981 correspondence that discussed the findings of the Emergency Preparedness Appraisal.

It also relates to the March 8,1982 meeting I, and other members of the Region V staff, held with Mr. Ronald Rodriguez, and others of the Sacramento Municipal Utility District staff, concerning the status of those items addressed in your January 8, 1982 letter.

Based upon your January 8,1982 reply and supplemental information we received during the March 8,1982 meeting, it appears that you have provided satisfactory responses to all of the items described in Appandix A (Significant Deficiencies)

to our November 5,1981 letter except for No.10 which concerns meteorological instrumentation.

Your corrective actions will be verified during a future inspection.

With respect to the meteorological instrumentation, and provisions for an alternate source of such data, we are still evaluating this matter. We will address this item in separate correspondence at a later date.
