Combined Inspection Report Nos. 50-272/81-09 and 50-311/81-10 This refers to your letter dated June 24, 1981, in response to our letter dated June 2, 1981.
Thank you for informing us of the corrective and preventive actions documented in your letter. Based on discussions between -Mr. H. Midura, Manager - Salem Nuclear Generating Station, and Mr. L. Norrholm, Senior Resident Inspector, on July 6, 1981, we understand that the following additional acti.ons will b.e taken relative to this item: assignment of a licensed staff member to review all Licensee Event Reports; inclusion of NRC notification requirements in plant pro-cedures for reactor trips; and, establishment of a tracking mechanism to ensure timely transmittal of report We further understand that these measures will be implemented by July 15, 1981.
