REPORT NOS. 50-325/83-09, 50-324/83-09, 50-261/83-07, 50-400/83-10, AND 50-401/83-10 The NRC Systematic Assessment of Licensee Performance (SALP) Board has completed its periodic evaluation of the performance of the subject facilitie The Brunswick, Robinson, and Harris facilities were evaluated for the period January 1, 1982, through January 31, 198 The results of the evaluation are documented in the enclosed SALP Board Assessmen This evaluation will be discussed with you at your offices in Raleigh, North Carolina on May 10, 198 The performance of your Brunswick and Robinson facilities was evaluated in the operational functional areas of plant operations, radiological controls, maintenance, surveillance and inservice testing, emergency preparedness, security and safeguards, refueling, licensing activities, and quality assurance program Additionally, Brunswick was evaluated in the area of fire protectio The performance of your Harris facility was evaluated in the construction functional areas of containment and other safety-related structures, piping systems and supports, safety-related components, support systems, electrical power supply and distribution, licensing activities, and quality assurance program The SALP Board evaluation process consists of categorizing performance in each functional area. The categories which we have used to evaluate the performance of your facilities are defined in Section II of the enclosed SALP Board Assess ment. Any comments which you have concerning our evaluation of the performance of your facilities should be submitted to this office within 20 days following the date of our meeting in Raleigh, North Carolin Your comments, if any, and the SALP Board Assessment, will both appear as enclosures to the Region II Administrator's letter which issues the SALP Board Assessment as an NRC repor In addition to the issuance of the assessment, this letter will, if appropriate, state the NRC's position on matters relating to the status of your safety program In accordance with 10 CFR 2.790(a), a copy of this letter, the enclosure, and your response, if any, will be placed in the NRC's Public Document Room unless you notify this office by telephone within ten days following the date of our meeting in Raliegh, North Carolina, and submit written application to withhold information contained therein within 20 days following the date of our meetin Such application must be consistent with the requirements of 10 CFR 2.790(b)(1).
