Areas Inspected:

Routine, announced physical security inspection involving:

Management Support, Security Program Plans and Audits; Protected and Vital Area Physical Barriers, Detection and Assessment Aids; Protected and Vital Area Access Control of Personnel, Packages and Vehicles; Alarm Stations and Communications; Power Supply; Testing, Maintenance and Compensatory Measures; and Security Training and Qualification.

Results: The licensee's overall performance in im,nlementing the security program was excellent. Attention and involvement in the focus on security, and program and procedural effectiveness was positive, except for a degradation of a vital area barrier that resulted in the identification of a violation.

The root cause of this violation demonstrated weak design application of a vital cea barrier and weak barrier evaluations by the security organization.
