This routine, announced inspection was conducted in the areas of Management Support and Security Program Plans, Protected and Vital Area Barriers, Protected and Vital Area Access Control of Personnel, Packages and Vehicles, Alarm Stations and Communications and Safeguards Contingency Plan Implementation.
Results:
In the areas inspected, no violations or deviations were identified.
The licensee conducted multiple security drills in conjunction with local law enforcement, in which they demonstrated a noteworthy ability to respond to events and maintain command and control.
A review of the ongoing security upgrade project was conducted and the licensee was informed that after discussion with Hg and Regional management it was our position that the intake and discharge canal protected area barriers be properly alarmed.
