Connaughton of our staff concerning the December 4, 1981, Notife of Violatio As discussed, interim approval of your Inservice Test Program for Pumps and Valves bad been granted by the NRC's Office of Nuclear Reactor RegUlation, including a request for relief from valve leak rate testing requirements prescribed in Section XI of the ASME Code fo~ Category A containment isolation valve our current understanding is that your requests for relief encompass the requirements for owner specified maximum allowable leak rates for each valve, the requirements for trending valve leak rates and the requirements for taking corrective actio Accordingly, we will adjust our records to reflect that.no violation of regtil.atory requirements occurred with respect to the December 4, 1981 Notic Your cooperation with us is appreciate
