g 1982 Thank you for your letter dated ~ia.rch 18, 1982, informing us of the steps you have taken to correct the noncompliance and management concerns which we brought to your attention in Inspection Report No. 50-249/81-30 forwarded by our letter dated February 16, 198 In addition to corrective actions stated in your letter, we understand, based on telephone discussions with Mr. Doug Scott on April 5, 1982, that you will:

(1) complete your review of high radiation area access controls by June 30, 1982; (2) perform at least shiftly radiation protection surveillance of maintenance activities conducted within areas controlled as high radiation areas until you complete your review of high radiation area access controls; (3) incorporate in procedures your policies regard-ing movement of temporary shielding and evaluation of unplanned dosimeter discharges; and (4) develop written guidelines to be used by radiation protection personnel in conducting your proposed routine SWP surveillance progra We will examine these matters during future inspection Your cooperation with us is appreciate cc: Mr. L.
