This letter is being provided to notify the Nuclear Regulatory Commission of an incapacitation to a licensed senior reactor operator as required by 10CFR55.25. On February 3,1997, Mr. John R. Kaincg (Docket No. 55-31823, License No.
SOP-31188) was examined by an Illinois Power physician due to the prescription of a i medication of a psychotropic nature which would impair the operator's ability to l perform his duties.
'We anticipate that this is a temporary removal from licensed operator duties.
