Hairston, Ill to the additional position of Chief Executive Officer, effective immediately. As the company's Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Hairston succeeds Mr. IL A. Franklin, who will become President and ChiefExecutive Officer of Georgia Power Company (GPC), effective January 1,1994. In addition to assuming these responsibilities, Mr. Hairston continues m serve as President of SNC and as Executive Vice 1* resident of GPC.
