On February 2, 2022, the NRC issued the Kairos Hermes Environmental Report Audit Plan (ADAMS Accession No. 22028A002). This audit plan included a list of several information items the NRC staff plans to cover with Kairos staff during audit interactions, set to begin on February 28, 2022.

In our email transmittal of the audit plan (ML22052A008), we noted that the NRC staff planned to provide a supplement to the plan to include additional items related to Air Quality and Human Health resource areas. As the staffs review has progressed since that time, only one additional item has been identified. Please note that the staff plans to include the below item together with the previously identified information items as topics of discussion and inquiry with Kairos staff.

AQN-3: Provide air emission estimates for each criteria pollutant for the construction phase and the operation phase of the project. Provide a description of the assumptions used to determine the estimates (i.e. hours use of differing equipment during construction). In addition, provide the total emission estimate for hazardous air pollutants for both the construction and operation phases of the project.
