I have received the below from the THPO of the consulting Tribe as a summary of their confidential letter of November 7, 2023 that they have approved for public release.

The NRC has received a letter dated November 7, 2023 from the Tribal Historic Preservation Officer (THPO) of the Federally Recognized Tribe with whom the NRC has been consulting under Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act (NHPA). The letter informs the NRC that their Office [of the THPO] does not object to the project proceeding provided that project activities are halted and their Office is contacted immediately for further consultation if items of cultural significance are discovered during the course of this project according to the monitoring and discovery plan and provided that the NRC re-contact the consulting Tribes THPO if there are any changes to activities within or the scope of the APE.
